Guys
We are doing this to help everyone. Especially, those whose PD is still current as per September VB, if you act with in next 5-10 days, you have a chance. if you can individually file a law suit when your PD is current.Since my guess is, the lawsuit we are working on in this thread, will take some time to shape up. But this is a Biggie, we want to create a big impact. Meanwhile, folks who are out there waiting since 2001,2002.... you can follow the links that i pasted in my previous message. People have won lawsuit very similar to the one we are talking about. I can even paste some of the I-485 lawsuits filed because of unreasonable and unnecessary delays, when PD is current.

I have postponed my finger prints when I was in India back in Oct 2007, and I haven't got yet, should I ask them send it again or should I wait untill they send it to me.
I heared some where in the forum that when your comeback to India they took fingerprints at the prot of entry and that is sufficient.
Is that true?

I guess affected class should make an impact visible enough for people to realize they cant let us down.
Example : keeping all our savings and checking cash in our country banks. This will not provide free money to local banks.
Lets say
500k people pulling out 25k each. Thats a big sum. Its just investing our money in our country bcos we DONT expect GCs!
Also buy airtickets from broker from your home country which will benefit your country getting the sales tax!... so on.
I have nothing against anyone. I am just saying how we can assert our importance.

should we also try another vendor just to diversify the risk of this one deciding not to deliver. I will do some research to see which others a re available.

My friends case was sent to NSC and delivered at NSC on 4th JUN. NSC redirected them to Texas. His checks got cleared today.. They issued receipts on JUN 11th.Good for him.

Hi All,
Me and my wife got our physical cards today. Buit the issue is my wife last name hasnt not been changed to my last name. It is still her maiden name. We have requested them while filing for I-485 with our marriage certificate.
We can still live with this but there SSn, Passport everything has been changed to my last name already. even has EAD card had my last name.
Any sugguestion as wat can be done. We r afraid were gettin our green card happiness will take a while now.

The text you quoted below only states that the AOS petition can only be approved if a visa number is available, no where does it say that AOS petition cannot be accepted if visa number is not available. we are not asking for AOS petition to be approved we are only asking that AOS petition be filed and accepted by USCIS.

a. 140k GCs are NOT available on Oct 1st. Only 27% (37,800) are available and are subject to 7% country cap. DoS estimated the PD based on the number of I-485 applications pending and other related factors.
b. A person can file I-485 as long as his PD is before PD mentioned in the visa bulletin. This is how "immediately available" is defined.
c. Since revised visa bulletin update states that no visa number is available for FY USCIS, by law, can not accept new I-485 applications.

I am going to complete my 180 days by 1st week of Decemeber. The company I work for, is offering me a Project Manager position. My labor is filed for a programmer. But whatever is the exit strategy i will end up paying almost $10,000 as lawyer fees.

Here is one example. An actor may agree that he won't sign any other role until this movie is completed or 12 months from the agreement date.

Thanks gc28262 for your contributions to this drive. I request others to pitch in as well. We can discuss the nitty-gritties till we bleed. But that won't achieve anything. It will not stop the minformation being spread. We have to collect enough evidence and present it to the media. 4-5 job ads is just the beginning, we need a collection of few hundred to prove this is the prevalent trend.
